In 2022, GIGA'GAMES reached a historic milestone: for the first time in the Caribbean, multisport, olympism and esports came together. Alongside the first Caribbean Games led by CANOC, the federation organised the GIGA'GAMES CANOC ESPORTS SERIES, an associated esports event, mirroring what the Olympic movement is initiating worldwide.
This convergence embodies the federation's mission: to have esports recognised as a sport in its own right and to anchor it in the Guadeloupean and Caribbean sporting ecosystem, alongside the seven disciplines of the Caribbean Games.
The islands of Guadeloupe set the rendezvous for late June and November 2022 to celebrate this meeting of sport, culture and video games.
